Guest guest
A friend of mine who has her bachelor's in nutrition informed me that you are never supposed to refrigerate tomatoes. I had NO idea, it was a big shock to me. TJ
Guest guest
I learned that very recently as well. I've been growing them most of my adult life and did not know that. Who knew? Guest guest
Yeah, try to tell my husband they don't belong in fridge. Can't tell you how many times I have come out and he has transferred all my tomatoes to the fridge. Ick. Takes away the flavor. Guest guest
If the temp is too cold, it destroys the natural sugars in tomatoes, and makes them "mealy". Tomatoes will last much longer on the counter. On Jun 2, 2012, at 1:59 AM, "" <cclose15@...> wrote: Did they say why?On Jun 1, 2012, at 10:54 PM, Pam <yourfavoritething2002@...> wrote: I learned that very recently as well.
