Guest guest
Hi there from Norway I use to simmer roses in oil, and let them stay in the sun for about two weeks, then I get a wonderful oil with rose scent. I make Bath Salt or spa with Sea salt, oil, rose petals, leftover from soap, and maybe add some rose FO. My friends love it! Hugs from Vigdis 46 mimosa blossoms Here is Missouri, the Mimosa tree's are in full bloom and smell wonderful. Anybody have any suggestions on harvesting that wonderful smell? Would there be any benefit in simmering the mimosa blossoms in " distilled " water and making a lotion from the water? Thanks again, charmaine Jasmine Flowers and Rosemary Essential oil on sale! Guest guest
Here is Missouri, the Mimosa tree's are in full bloom and smell wonderful. I'd be worried about ickies growing in water from them but I bet they'd make gorgeous scented paper. If you've never made paper, it's another (cheaper and simpler) addiction waiting for you. I make paper for bougainvillia petals here (florida) and they are beautiful. Very nice gift tags or additions to a gift basket.

Making herbal/botanical water is no problem if you heat the herbal water to 170 and hold. hth Sherry Sherry's Creations Natural Care E-books, booklets, spreadsheets, free downloads www.herbalsoap-healingcreams.com
Guest guest
Hi, can you tell me what a spa with sea salt is? I live in New Mexico and have not ran into that yet. Guest guest
Killing the germs isn't the problem - it's keeping them from coming back that would worry me. I suppose a spray container would stay pretty sterile but if it was one where someone mgiht put their hand in it then it could be re-contaminated. I haven't any experience with preservatives so I stay away from making products containing water. Just my opinion, of course.
