Guest guest
Deni, Yes, I had a neuroma on my right foot (top) - near my third/fourth toe about 20 years ago. Lots of pain in walking, just wearing shoes, etc. Went to an orthopedist who specializes in feet - had one shot of cortisone, and that took it away. No trouble since - I suspect maybe because I wear orthotics and my feet are better aligned and supported. Gretchen
Guest guest
Deni; I've had neuromas on both feet, what you describe certainly sounds like neuroma. (nerve is pinched, causes it to swell). The only other thing I know about 'em, they hurt like all get out. Hang in there! Jim Nash in Ohio
Guest guest
Hi Priscilla You wrote: That is what is so great about this group. I love the sharing, we learn so much from each other. I will let you know how I make out with these feet. God Bless Priscilla Yep, and that is what this group did best when it started, it not only discussed our diseases and shared information on them but we also shared many of life's problems we have had along the way. That is what a support group is all about, helping each other through whatever life throws at us from time to time. Our diseases play a big part in how we react to the world around us and how they, especially family, react to us. I remember in the early days, the discussions we had about having handicapped stickers on our cars and folks reporting us for parking in a handicapped zone and there was nothing wrong with us. That is a huge problem with everything involved with these diseases, they are many times not noticable to others unless we hand a sign on our necks saying disabled. I did that to a referee at a basketball game once when playing Jake, gave him a white cane and large glasses along with a large handicapped card around his neck. No sense of hummer at all in him. Got me tossed from the college gym for 4 games. Blessings Fr. Dave
