Guest guest
Well mate, I have not had a whiff of a news letter. Wait until you read your letter you will find out why. Want to pay another £30 for your insurance???? That's what Mark wants us to do now. It would appear that the company doing our insurance has pulled the plug. So to keep the £2,000,000 cover, you will have to pay £30 a year more for our membership if we are to keep the same cover! Get the wife to open the letter, now! The other trick they do is not to send you a reminder until its expired so you don't have time to look around. I did however start looking and telephone a number of companies, some who already insure Private Ambulance Services. I thought it would be easy as I just wanted the same type of cover as other companies. It was not my medical malpractice as I have that with a separate company, although that did go up over £500 on renewal. But what a mission it was to get insurance as companies are only renewing insurances and at increased premiums. No one will take on new policies. it took me over 10 days of continual phone different companies. In the end a company I phoned on the first day managed to get me cover at a reduced rate, although it took them the 10 days to get a quote, they also had loads of insurers refusing to provide cover. So I can imagine the problem Mark is Having. Geoff Capital Medical Services

Guest guest
Hi.I saw your post on remote medics. I work for a company that provides medics for companies working in Iraq. My question to you is, do you know of any websites or organizations that Aussie military medics, or SAS medics go to? We are trying to recruit Special Ops medics or medics with a lot of military medical experience, due to the nature of these jobs. Cheers, Cory G'Day, I 'm Kaz and I'm an Aussie. Guest guest
Kaz, Although a Pom working in the North Sea, I have worked in Oz, mostly in Melbourne and WA. Most exotic thing I dealt with was in the WA wheat belt, a man drove his horse box into the ambulance bay and asked me to inject his horse's gonads with penicillin. He'd castrated the poor bugger the previous day (mid-summer) and the flies had got all manner of crap in there causing an impressive infection. Well, seeing as the last person who went near that part of his anatomy cut of his balls, I wasn't about to approach pissed of Farlap hellbent on revenge, so I told him to see a vet. I'm a bit picky about treating humans only. Also, they do like their shotguns in WA. Pointless and irrelevant, but thought you might be interested. > Message date : Jan 29 2004, 08:46 AM > From : " Karyn " > To : > Copy to : > Subject : > G'Day, > I > 'm Kaz and I'm an Aussie.
