Guest guest
So now I'm curious, what is vegetable ghee if not palm? It can't be dairy or it wouldn't be called vegetable. Palm oil is sometimes called vegetable tallow, even though tallow is really beef fat. Palm oil is used in vegetable shortening, which is also a substitute for butter. It would logically follow that a product called vegetable ghee may contain palm oil. Guest guest
Re: Re: palm oil DEINATELY NOT GHEE So now I'm curious, what is vegetable ghee if not palm? >> Here's the definition for ghee that we use in Ayurveda and it for sure is NOT palm!: It's is basically butter that has the milk solids and water removed. According to Ayurveda, Ghee (clarified butter) is the best oil for cooking. This is because when used in moderation it stimulates the digestion (Agni) better than any other oil. It also has the ability to increase ones immunity (called Ojas in Ayurveda). Peace! Tara
