Guest guest
I scent my salt and put them in apothecary jars and sell them for 3.99 lb. I buy bread bags at the local cash 'n' carry (restauraunt supply) , they are REALY CHEAP and i use those to package them for people. I buy gute twist ties and ribbon when it is on clearance. I also watch Joannes Fabrics because they put all thier holiday stuff on clearance long befor the holidays are over and they have quite a few of those party/candy bags that are cute to offer people during holidays if they want the salts for a gift! katherine On Sat, 20 Oct 2001 17:09:36 -0000, wrote: > Hi...don't know much about pricing this stuff but what is the going > rate for bath salts and bath bombs, etc? Guest guest
Lynn, You have misunderstood me. Apothecary jars hold several ppounds of salts. I sell the salts for 3.99 a lb. I buy bread bags from a restaurant supply store and twist ties and bag the salts for them. Anotherwords, they are purchasing the salts in bulk. I check Joannes fabrics when they have 60% off or more for their candy bags which are seasonal an really cute if someone wants the salts for a gift. katherine On Mon, 22 Oct 2001 01:43:17 EDT, wrote: > In a message dated 10/20/01 10:42:42 PM Pacific Daylight Time, > katherinegranbois@... writes: > > > > > > Where are you getting the apothecary jars that you can afford to sell them > for 3.99 (including a pound of scented bath salt)? > > lynn in valencia > lavender bluffs bath and body > " A little touch of heaven in your bath " > > >

Guest guest
Morning all, I tend to use a 'rule of thumb' when pricing product. This tends to be to work out the cost of everything and then add 200%. Now that can be over-the-top for some items so I then only add 100%. Commercial companies normally would add 300% as they factor a lot more overheads so that when they say 1/2 price they still make a hefty profit.
