Hi:Can someone help me with the following.:To determine the age of the patient in a DPT, lets say that the second molars are completely erupted so the child is more than 12 years old but the third molar has not erupted , you can see that they are developing, you know he is between 12 to 17 aprox, but do you have any idea of how to determine the age of the patient taking as a refernce the degree of the develpment of the roots of the third molar?Thanks Gaby

an example in the book where only the crown of mandi-8 is formed it has been

mentioned 14 years...

from berkovitz, last chapter, table given
