Guest guest
Here is the recipe for liquid Talc. My sister and I did it a bit different though and it turned out ok. We did not put in the clay and we used lavender scent instead. It is a thick cream consistency and feels so good on the skin. But this came from another list I am on so I can't take credit for it LOL. And the first batch I made I did with the aloe vera styling gel it did not set up. My sister had bought reg aloe vera gel and it worked just fine. But she had bought some hair gel to use for body glitter and she decided to try her gel when she got home and it worked (price is $1 versus $5) we compared ingredients and mine had sodiums in it and hers did not. So I am going back to $ store to pick up some so I can finish making what I need :-) . Glitz Liquid Talc Version 1/2 cup distilled water 1/2 cup cornstarch, Kaolin or French Clay, 1 cup Aloe Vera Gel Baby Powder Fragrance 1 tablespoon glycerine Vitamin E Mix water and powders together until it makes a smooth paste. Then add aloe vera gel, glycerine and FO until mixed well. Made 1st bath bombs and other things and foot mud from kitty litter > > > Well my sister and I made bath bombs and other things yesterday. Had a tired day but enjoyable. We did the bath bombs, we did liquid talc, and we did a foaming vanilla bath oil. I also did a foot mud below is the instructions for that. We had so much fun. I wanted to try making something that was out in the 50's called fizzes it was a drink tablet (anyone remember that?). I knew it was made from citric acid so when my sister brought it in first thing I did was taste of it. Soooour stuff LOL. But it is also what our kids sours are rolled in. I put some extract in with a bit of the citric acid to see what the reaction would be--I did not want it fizzing before I wanted it to. The extract does not fizz it. Glycerine does not fizz it. So I will be experimenting making pop rocks and drink fizzes. > > I have debated about putting this on this list because I figure some of you might not understand. But I will anyway for the sharing with those that will understand and want to try it. And let me also tell you I have done my homework--I have called the place that makes the product and they told me that it is 100% pure fullers earth. The person I talked to said that it comes from deep in a mine in Ga. > > The product I am talking about is cat's pride kitty litter (unused of course LOL). I make foot scrub out of it. I buy the bag that has no additives in it 100% natural. What I do is pour about 1/2 a bag of the kitty litter in a BIG bowl and cover with water to just over the top of the kitty litter. Let it set overnight and then the next morning start putting it in my food processor to return it back to clay. Works great. > > I can't take credit for the idea somewhere on the web I found this out and tried it and it works. I know that I am a bit unconventional for most of you guys but hey--that is what makes the world go round. I don't sell my products and my friends and family like what I do so I am ok in doing it my way LOL. And I would never do something that would endanger my family and friends so I check things out. > > Glitz > > >

Guest guest
Hi Glitz - Thanks for posting your recipe for liquid " talc " . I must say I was concerned when you originally posted because of the health issues regarding the use of " talc " . Your recipe, however, does not contain any talc. It appears to be more of a liquid powder. I am correct in reaching this conclusion? Guest guest
Use it like you would regular talc. After you bath apply this to your body. It leaves you silky feeling. I love it !!! It is not sticky nor does it turn white on your skin. Try it you will like it LOL. Is it a moisturizer? Do you put it places skin might rub against skin and chaff? Do you put it in your shoes to keep your feet dry? Is talc more for people with dry or oily skin? Would I use it in place of the oil I slather on after I shower? Thanks for my education. :-) Sage

I used it after exercising to dry up moisture when I went walking during lunch at work, Used it in those lil private areas in the summer to prevent dampness... Just use it like you would powder cept it doesn't go flying everywhere it wasn't meant for. AND it makes you smell really good!~ Joyce in Dallas Hearts Desire Candles & Toiletries -----Original Message----- From: Yaaruln@... [mailto:Yaaruln@...] I hate to sound dumb, but I will anyway. Guest guest
I just had an idea...what about adding deodorizing e.o.'s like lavender, anise, cypress, eucalyptus, coriander, cedarwood, lemongrass, etc. for a lotion that dries to a powder? Or a deodorizing foot lotion? > Use it like you would regular talc. After you bath apply this to your body. > It leaves you silky feeling. I love it !!! Guest guest
Yes I have only made the recipe as posted minus the clay. But I did not use distilled water in mine and it did not set up. My sister did and hers set up. And it when it starts setting it does it quickly--like gravy thickens.
