They are British remote medics. It need only be a rough figure. There is to be a change to the registration procedure and the law regarding SRPara and they are looking at remote medics to be included before closure of title. _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com
Guest guest
Hi Gordon Good question - Well what to suggest to find out - maybe contact UKCOOA who could tell you how many platforms, floaters & jack ups there are - then times that number by 2, add on about 30% for the platforms employing a 3rd medic for rotational cover - then contact the medic agencies to see how many adhoc medics they have on their books who have no full time posts. (KMG has 17 medics at the moment) what changes are they looking at?? will that mean we all get SRPara certification from our medics courses?? best wishes Ninian North How many are there? Guest guest
Hi, good questions. The question was from Butterfield, who is having problems with his computer at the moment. He has been asked by HPC to find out as they take over from CPSM. They are looking at our group and the military in a effort to include these groups as CPSM included the IHCD group. I am sorry I can not be more specific than that. I am not on the board is. The numbers of people will be a factor from a planning and administration view point. I think it will be a good move for the industry if we are included and will go a long way towards the remote medics credibility and registration. No decision has been made yet, it is something they will decide once they have the figures and the training standars laid down by the industry. >From: <Owner@...> >Reply- >< > >Subject: RE: How many are there? >Date: Fri, 15 Mar 2002 18:34:23 -0000 > >Gordon, > >My company employ 750 medical staff world wide.
