Drs and most have said the same. I saw one dr. in Charlotte NC that was the Panthers/Hornets (now Bobcats) Ortho Surgen. Everyone build him up so. He told me Xrays showed " mild " OA. I told him the pain is NOT mild. One thing for sure....they`re making a killing money wise.....what I don`t understand is looking in the mirror at my knees they look normal. No swelling, never had fluid on them...just normal looking but boy do they hurt. I`m 6-4 and about 280. I guess my next choice is to diet and maybe weight loss will help...I worry about my forced retirement. I had 8 more years to work. Daughter is going to UNC Greensboro to be an RN and Son at Western Carolina getting a BS in Emergency Management. How I`m going to pull this off is beyond me without giving a cut of the 401K....cool, fall, rainy day here in Carolina....every one have a nice day... BTW.......never go around RR cross arms..never depend on them to work...always stop amd look....its safer and saves the front end alignment. Guest guest
I injured my spine between the shoulder blades 10 years ago & have myofascial pain from that. Also my R shoulder has felt like it has a rotator cuff tear since about 1996 -- the severity comes & goes. Low back pain, Heberden's nodes (distal finger joints -- may or may not be related to arthritis), plain old arthritis in some finger joints, now seem to be getting arthritis in toes. Bulging discs in lumbar & cervical spine. Tendinitis in elbows. Sigh. Ann Pain in other joints? was pain free Hi All, I was just wondering how many people on the board have issues in other joints besides their knees? I've had some pains in elbows, and shoulder. Shoulder has always been more bothersome than the elbow. Are we just unlucky when it comes to joint health? Connie I have since had surgery on both elbows and have been pain free > there since the surgeries in '92 and 2000. Guest guest
I just got the MRI reports on my shoulder & cervical spine today. No wonder I have pain. I have arthritis in the shoulder joint so the bones press on the rotator cuff tendon (and it's also torn, I think from what my masseur did), and I have " extensive " arthritis in my neck, esp. between C6 & C7, where a nerve is being pinched. Together, these painful places could cause my shoulder muscles, neck muscles, and upper back (just below the neck) muscles to tense up & become habitually contracted). I'm really glad to get this diagnosis (although I'm not happy to find that I have so much arthritis) because now I don't have to wonder if I have FM or some rare disease any more and can concentrate on not doing things that irritate the pinched tissues.
