ok so kindly clear to me something.

according to what was in my mind I was supposed to apply for bussiness visitor visa to give the ore.

After giving the ore and clearing it and getting registered with the gdc. I have to take my vt.

For the vt I get a work permit ? ... am i right. Can someone kindly elaborate.

Can someone actually throw light on what we are actually supposed to be applying for and working upon if we are not british citizens and dental surgery graduates.

I agree with Aqsa Fatima...last Nov. 2007 the UK immigration law had undergone a transition, thus, WORK PERMITS are no longer issued. However, in lieu of work permit a CERTIFICATE OF SPONSORSHIP can be granted to an employer who wants to hire non UK/ EEA national but the CATCH there is that THE IMMIGRATION MADE IT SOMEHOW IMPOSSIBLE for an employer to do so as the REQUIREMENTS are very tough and the Employer needs to pay a massive amount of money in order to obtain a CERTIFICATE OF SPONSORSHIP and no guarantee that they can be granted especially now that DENTIST is already delisted as a short list profession (this should only be the means that a non UK/EEA national can work here)......otherwise,u may be a registered dentist in UK (by passing the

ORE) but u don't have the right to work here.....From: Aqsa Fatima Burki <aqsaburki@...> Cc: Sent: Sunday, 20 February 2011, 20:45Subject: Re: Re: VIsa Requirements

Hi,Reading these messages I am kind of demotivated. I always thought that to be able to work in UK all we had to do is clear ORE. Is it really necessary to do the VT? If we are already on a student visa in the UK, and we simultaneously clear the ORE, can't we directly apply for dentist jobs?Any information on this appreciated.Kind regards,DiptiFrom: ROSE CANUTO <bjo_rose@...>Subject: Re: Re: VIsa Requirements" " < >Date: Monday, 21 February, 2011, 4:42 AM

Probably you can, if u will apply under TIER 2,which requires "CERTIFICATE OF SPONSORSHIP" so u need an employer who is more than willing to spend a massive amount of money and provide those other requirements (one is for them to prove that despite of many postings no UK/EEA national is available for the job) in order to obtain this certificate so he/she can hire u. GRANTED U HAVE AN EMPLOYER, the NEW LAW states that the MAXIMUM YEARS FOR A WORKER to stay here is 3-5yrs. no more than that DUE to IMMIGRATION CAP.................ALTERNATIVELY, if u will apply as a BUSINESS PERSON (with a minimum income of £150 annually while in here) u are exempted from the IMMIGRATION CAP that means u can stay here longer than

5yrs and can apply for a residence visa when the right time comes..

Hi,If you have got a Tier 1 DEPENDENT Visa with "no employment as doctor in training" which i am sure most of you have got then it means that you can not work in any training posts.Which includes-1)SHO jobs-Even if you have got a offer for SHO ,you'll not be given temporary registration by GDC for the job.2)VT -which is also a training post.So either get a PR before you apply for VT or re apply for tier 1 from UK coz i heard you wont get that endorsment here(not sure) or get a tier 2 which i do not know how it works for dependents. From: drirfansalim <irfansalim85@...> Sent: Mon, February 21, 2011 8:01:14 PMSubject: Re: VIsa Requirements

Well .. after reading all the depressing comments that have been posted .. All i would like to say are about 4 things

1) The policies of uk are continuously changing and shortages of dentists tends to occur. So they cant put a halt to vt , this problem is affecting all the people aka dentists and home office will be doing something about it. They do need manpower to overcome economic crisis which they already are in. IF they start kicking the registered dentists then where would they complete their shortage from?

2) I appreciate everyone giving their opinion, but if something closes their always is an alternative to it. I am sure there is some visa that we haven't looked into properly. We should look further into it.

3) Study never tends to go to waste. Whether in uk or australia or usa conditions are almost same. So giving ore cant be more of a waste then applying to other countries.

4) Lastly you always take 1 step at a time and give it your best. Most of you havent even completed ore including me and even before anything we are saying what about visa. Please get registered first. Then you can think with an open mind what to do next.

So if anyone actually finds something positive to add to it regarding things that are possible like vinni did tau I am a sure all of us would love to hear of it. Its better to be positive about the fact that we can come and give ore and be registered ONCE we pass.

Regards

Hi AllAfter all these discussions and definitely demotivating facts, I feel it's better to ask people who have recently (after the change in rules and stamping of this clause of training posts on visa) cleared the Part 2 of ORE within last part of last year. Please if any of the seniors or anyone in touch with any of these people can find out how they are coping with the visa requirement and what is the best option to follow after clearing the ORE ,it will help a lot of us decide the future course and save a lot of pain and effort !

Ore is a route for those coming from EEA or Non EEA countries who have a residence status here in uk. I think on Tier 2 u can apply to a job and u have no guarantee if u will get it since they will prefer EEA or UK candidates first and if they couldnt find it then they will give the job to you and hence u keep working on this visa and get it extended till they allow and if they dont extend it, pack your bags and go back.Thats itFrom: yazzoon88 <dr-yazandouedari@...> Sent: Wed, February 23, 2011 6:08:06 AMSubject: Re: VIsa Requirements

so in conclusion to this disscution:

1. after passing part 2 of ORE we CAN NOT work in SHO or VT BUT we can work in private clinic (please correct me if i am wrong)

2. there is another option: SPONCERSHIP or being BUSSINESS PERSON ...well, i dont really understant how this works .... could someone please explain to us more about this??

3. the phrase on the visa (no work as a doctor or dentist in training.) i THINK it means training posts only like SHO, VT since this phrase exists on all kind of visas

4. it doesnt make sence at all that after having full registration with the GDC we cant work at uk as a dentist ... then why there is ORE and why people are doing it?? for fun!!??? it doesnt make sence

please correct me if i am wrong
