Guest guest
Dear Colleagues,I want to give my feedback for Eastman ORE2 revision course:Overall it was excellent, highly recommend it to everyone doing part 2. It made such a huge difference in my preparation as my training was slightly different to what they expect us to perform in the exam. This exam is like a game and we all should learn how to play it..Day 1We did class II, III, IV,V they show us which burs to use for every case step by step, lecturers were excellent! They started with class II demo then we did it by ourselves then they do class III demo and so on. We did amalgam, composite and rubber dam excersices too. If you are quick you can end up doing one excercise twice or even more times. They tought us how to manipulate the phantom head, hand pieces etc this is key and a huge advantage of doing the course in the same place of the exam.We were a small group so the teaching was almost one to one which i loved!Day 2: crown prepsWe did putty index, FGC, PFM in molar and central, veneers, oclusal rests, temporary crown ( i did 4 some people only one) and impressions.Day 3: endoMorning we practice in acrylic blocks they taught us how to use gate glidens which i havent used before and to use the xray equipment and the computarized system to see the xray and measure working lenght etc .In the afternoon we practice on real teeth (i did two endos in total 4) i will just need to practice a couple of times more to be ready before the exam. Many people say that endo will not come up and we shouldnt just taking it for granted, it can easily come in our exam so that day was really important for me.I will be doing royal college course in march and i will post my feedback.I hope this info will be of help for some of you.Kind regards, From: ammar k <ammarkiliddar@...>; To: <dentaljournalclub >; Subject: [D.J.C.] Re: ORE 2 COURSES Sent: Thu, Jan 20, 2011 1:59:05 PM Hhi, courses at royal college of surgeon, & for manikin Dr fred. also Londec.co.uk is ok Ammar > > Hi could somebody please suggest the best courses to attend for ore 2 and books to read > thanks > > > > >
