Guest guest
Dentists are encouraged to carry out a thorough soft tissue examination and be vigilant for any lesions that might possibly be malignant or have malignant potential. Currently it is not recommended that dentists use a mucosal staining method for screening the general population for oral cancer. What is the most likely reason for this advice? A. Unnecessary intervention where there is a false positive test result B. False reassurance where there is a false negative test result C. Low uptake of screening by those with low risk D. Low uptake of screening by those with high risk E. Negative result reinforcing existing bad habits
