My operation was to remove about 2/3 of the lateral meniscus because it was torn

so bad it kept pulling on the rest of the meniscus and was crippling. Almost 6

mo after the surgery I went hiking & stepped through unsupported snow -- with

that leg, of course. Since then I've had this ache in my medial meniscal area

-- no change, and it's not crippling, but if it's torn I don't want it to tear

more. Saw my OS yesterday, will get another MRI & we'll see how it looks. I

want him to do a LR while he's in there. The photo of the chondromalacia on my

kneecap looked pretty extensive to me -- very crabmeaty. He shaved that off,

but now it hurts more. Since it doesn't hurt if I wear knee tape, it seems to

me it MUST be being pulled laterally and a LR should help. Have to get it done

before end of year bec. after that I have to switch med centers & won't be able

to have it done by him.

lateral sides... but its not aggravated much by

motion. im still very inflamed form the scope, we'll

see. my friends mom had a scope and scrape and she's

fine. so hopefull i will be too (???)

its also VERY humid on the east coast now. we're

having post hurrricane charley rain etc.
