Guest guest
I would think a knee pad would be very useful I use something similar but not pre formatted. Mine is a leg bag containing basic medical gear for immediate first aid and a notepad fitted inside the lid to jot down vital stats and info, I also have an aide memoire, it is very much ad hoc made up by yours truly for personal use and would not fit everyone's bill. I would have thought each EMS service would have had its own forms, as we have previously discussed, so a pre formatted system would not fit in with their requirements. However, if the form in the pad was a generally useful one I am assuming it might find universal appeal if you are in that frame of mind to want or need a knee pad or in a role that makes it more practical ie heli crew or mobile unit en route (not the driver while moving obviously, but if solo could be used to jot down details over the phone or radio when stopped temporarily) I have seen one fitted to the forearm (left arm) of a flight medic which detaches and can be clipped on the instrument panel or just slipped over the arm with elastics and velcro. Isn't this a tool for those who really need one and difficult to fit in with current ambulance paperwork, I'd like to read other opinions. Guest guest
Steve I saw an article in this months Soldier Fen 2002 page 42 about Professor Jim of the Leonard Cheshire Centre of Conflict Recovery. In a photo just showing at the bottom of a pile of books was your catalogue nice bit of advertising, but it might have been better with something like medical, paramedic, nursing and emergency supplies down the spine, just a thought to improve business. By the way do you have any contacts with military medical kit suppliers I am trying to identify a pouch which is about 9 ins by 4.5 ins Olive Green in colour, which has a main compartment and two folding down pockets which when you release the fastex buckle are retained by velcro patches then can be dropped down to access the two pockets about the size of two tobacco tins each. The stencil states PACK MEDICAL EQUIPMENT 6545-99-978-4567 SL32A/5077 RR90 then a Broad Arrow (One legged chicken) mark. The whole pouch folds back up and is covered by a lid and locked with a fastex sr buckle, there is one belt loop. Any ideas anyone?
