Assess the injury how deep it is,does it need sutures 3. if it is bleeding, give pressure pack or sutures. 4. inform the pt that it can be sore for couple of days and it can get infected.Reassure the patient. 5. if the injury needs more than basic suturing, send the patient to oral and maxillofacial surgeon. 6.ask the pt whether he wants to continue the treatmentor defer it 7. record the incident in patient records with photographs and discussionwith other dentists. 8.inform the pt about the practice complaint policy and his right to complain if he wants to complain. 9.tell ur colleague to inform his or her dental indeminity organisation what happened. 10. record the incident in the practice incident log book. 11.Discuss this incident in next practice meeting to see what went wrong and how these incidents can be avoided in the future. 12. do the critical analysis and regular audit of the incident log book to avoid these things in future. These are the points which igot to know from the RCS osce course Thanks Shuchi On Mon, Nov 29, 2010 at 6:48 PM, A A <brightonsmiles@...> wrote: hello shuchican u plz send me the lip burn osce.Your help appreciatedcheerssnehal
