Hi :

Here is a recipe for a small batch of goats milk lotion. If you want to make

a bigger batch just double, triple or quadruple the amount of the

ingredients.. I cut this down from a gigger recipe as I just wanted to make

one bottle for myself.

4 1/2 ounces Water

3/4 ounce goats milk (1 1/2 Tablespoon)

1 ounce oil of your choosing

1/2 Tablespoon Stearic Acid

1 Tablespoon Emulsifying Wax

1 Tablespoon Dimethicone

1/2 tablespoon Isopropal Myristate

1/2 teaspoon preservative ( I use Liquapar-Optima)

1/4 teaspoon fragrance.

If using powdered milk dissolve 1/2 Tablespoon milk in 1 Ounce water. Water

must be very warm to dissolve the milk powder.

If you want to you can omit the dimethicone and the Isopropal Myristate.

The Dimethicone gives a nice slip to the lotion and the Isopropal Myristate

gives removes the oily feel, and gives it a slight powdery feel.

The recipe is in the archives. I don't know the number. You can do a

search.

Don't you have a website where you sell goats milk lotions and soap?

Janet,

You don't know me but i get all of these emails from bath and body. I saw

that you received a recipe for goats milk lotion. I have been trying to

Re: goats milk lotion

Thanks for sharing this! I like that I can experiment with a small

batch. Where do I get the goats milk, can this be bought at the

grocery store or do you have to order online? Also do you heat up all

ingredients beside the fo & preservative, mix & then add the rest?

Thanks for the help.

Thanks,

Janet
