If still available, try Providian National Bank 1-800-847-2911

and ask for a Visa card at 5.99%. Have had one for several years with

good results.

Dear Colleagues:

The CAO board(actually Larry Harvey), but we'll take credit anyway, is

trying to put together a membership benefits package that will include

credit card processing, discounted disability insurance etc. etc.. ect...

and the discount fees will be much more attractive than 5.99%. Just hold on

to your hats and your trade organization, if your a member, will take care

of you!

Sincerely,

DR. COBY L. HANES

Hello,

I sell wholesale to boutiques so I never had to deal with the whole

credit card situation. I am doing a trade show in a couple of weeks

and would like to give my customers the option to use a credit card.

Is there some way to obtain this service temporarily without signing

a big contract? I would probably only use it once in a while.

thanks!

Yes, you will lose a lot of sales if you only accept paypal. Paypal, while

it seems huge, is really only a small payment processor. The majority of

web users don't have paypal. Or, they might have some other online

currency such as Egold, or alertpay or one of the many others out there.

Being able to take credit cards will be more than worth the monthly fees

to accept them.

More info on credit cards. These are companies that you can use that don't

require you to have an actual merchant account. You do pay for this kind

of service, but if have low volume, it might be better to start this way.

I am not vouching for any of these companies, as I haven't used them (just

have them bookmarked). So, please do further research.

If you do mostly craft shows, you might be better off with one of the

phone systems, so you can call in for authorization while at a show.

Hi ,

I use Propay and really like it. No I don't have an imprint machine. I do

my reporting on the computer after my shows. They offer a fancy gizmo that

I've seen used by some vendors but I don't take enough cards to warrant the

expense. You just have to be careful to remember to get all the info you

need.

I'm thinking about setting up my business to take credit cards. I see

from older post propay is popular. Any other thoughts? I wonder about the

inprint machine do I have to have my own plate?

Much thanks!

Give Deb Woodruff a call or shoot her an email about the merchant account

services she offers. She is great to work with and will get you a great deal.

Her email is deb_woodruff@... and her # is 574-292-2590. The company she

works for is central payment corporation http://bit.ly/12Myyi.

I use Propay too and haven't had any problems with it. Unlike Jeannine,

I use an imprinter but I don't have a plate with my info on it. Taking

credit cards is an added convenience for the customer but I don't think

that I sell more product because of it..
