Click the Start menu. 2. Click Run. 3. Type in SFC and enter. 4. Check the box " scan for altered files " . 5. Hit start. If you have 1-5 altered files, that's considered normal error. More than that indicates a potential problem (the more corrupted files, the greater the problem). For each one, click Restore File. From (Disk drive):\win98 (if you have disk) C:\win 98 otherwise. Do not back up- when it asks, hit " skip " . Do not restart if you have a virus: run an up to date virus scan program and delete all infected files. DO NOT DELETE jdbgmgr.exe file (TEDDY BEAR)..............................BECAUSE it is a hoax. I always research these warnings by doing a Google search of alleged virus name.
