Guest guest
What is the exact name of the strainer? It is the BEST strainer for MKG. I have not tried the new version that is currently in the catalog but the old style is perfect. It can often be found in second hand shops, garage sales and online. Do a Google search to see if you can find one. Guest guest
Thanks so much everyone for the suggestions! I just visited ebay and found all kinds of small plastic strainers. I'm sure I can find something that will work perfectly. Just to note; I also recently received (6) 1/2 gallon wide mouth ball mason jars. They are very useful! n on > > Howdy all~ > Having fun with my new kefir grains! > Looking for a good way to strain the grains from the finished kefir and haven't come up with a strainer I'm really happy with yet. > Was wondering if a gold filter (coffee filter) would be harmful to the grains. I'm using a plastic collander/strainer but the holes are a little bigger than I like. From posts here I do know not to use silicone or stainless steel but was curious about the gold filter. > Thanks and take care~ > Steph >
