Guest guest
I remember reading somewhere that raw milk was shown to have helped reverse dental cavities in children. Assuming raw milk kefir has the same potential, I wonder whether it also speeds the healing of a fractured bone? Where would I read about diet in promoting the healing of a family member with a fractured bone? thanks stephanie mc
Guest guest
I don't know where to point you for the data, , but I do have some personal anecdotal evidence for you. I got really really sick last fall [had no business working, but I tried to go back to work anyway] and in December I fell, dislocating and fracturing my shoulder at the office. The orthopaedic surgeon said if I didn't have the surgery to repair it [two surgeries to be precise] that I would never be able to raise my arm above my shoulder. I declined the surgery and did a long regimen of physical therapy at the end of which - in April - I could not raise my arm even up to the level of my shoulder. In May I started using raw milk [whenever I can get it] as a gut-healing protocol. One of the collateral benefits was that my shoulder has since then healed wonderfully, and I can now at last, in September, raise my the injured arm above my shoulder --- I have full range of motion again! [slow and shaky muscles, haha, but I can do it and it does not pain me] I do not know if it is a direct correlation, but I do know that the raw milk helped immensely in healing my guts, and that has undoubtedly enabled me to absorb nutrients better, so that may have contributed too. I do know for sure that, at least for me, there is no question about the healing power of raw milk. [bTW - I don't like, can't tolerate, the pasteurized, homogenized stuff] ie PS - I am 59 years old, so this really feels like a miracle to me. ________________________________
