Guest guest
Can I use plastic strainers? Or is stainless steel better? Thanks Amy Sent via BlackBerry by AT & T Re: growing grains or not Well, if you are getting enough kefir to drink I wouldn't worry about it. If they are going backwards, that is a real concern. Silicone strainers and spoons make kefir grains totally disintegrate. There is probably something you haven't noticed you are doing differently. They don't just stop growing without cause. Mine have never stopped growing in the 35 years I've been doing this. Good thing!
