Guest guest Posted June 2, 2011 Report Share Posted June 2, 2011 Hi everyone, I'm new to this group and have just started making water kefir with Marilyn's grains. I have made milk kefir previously but not water kefir and just have a couple of questions about whether I've done everything correctly or not. Last night I put the grains in 1 quart of water (about 1 litre) ...actually it was about 750mls and 250mls of hemp milk. I added about 1 tablespoon of demerara sugar and also added 10 drops of Cell Food. Does all that sound ok? I used a wide measuring jar (about 7 inches in diameter) to make the kefir as that is the biggest jar I had...might be a silly question but is a wide jar acceptable or does it need to be a narrower/taller jar?
