Thick Kefir

Hello Everybody,

I recently got some kefir grains from a friend (she had originaly got them from

me) and the kefir is as thick as yogurt in 24 hours!

I have never had this happen to me. The kefir looks like cream cheese. I asked

my friend about it and she said that was the way it always worked for her.

The kefir does not seperate so I know that I am not over fermenting it.

Why is it so thick?

Thank you.

Jane

Mine is always this way too; however, if I don't use raw milk it's not as think.

Don't know what causes it, but I sure love it ;-)

I also have thick kefir. It is a little less thick than pudding but strains

real well. I also use raw milk. I have not used anything else yet. It's

wonderful.

I make smoothies with it every morning. :)
