My kefir is too thick to go through a plastic slotted spoon, so I started straining it through the same strainer I use for my WKGs. Yes, it's metal, but it doesn't bother the WKGs. Since I only saw a few grains I decided to use my tea strainer; too slow and I don't like to leave any grains in the strainer for long. Would cheesecloth or muslin work? Which would be best?
