Guest guest
I talked to a lady about getting raw goat's milk from her to use for kefir. What should I know when switching from pasteurized cow's milk to raw goat's milk? Will it take longer to set at first? How long should the kefir take to switch gears? Guest guest
Hi I got my grains from someone who was using cows milk and I started making raw goat milk kefir immediately and had success each time. The grains are thriving and growing and I love the kefir. Good luck! Jo > > I talked to a lady about getting raw goat's milk from her to use for kefir. Guest guest
I bought grains from someone who was using raw goat's milk. I found a source and was using that but the kefir did not thicken and the grains did not grow (but the kefir did taste like kefir). Mother wanted it thick, so I finally caved and switched to pasturized cow's milk. In a few years when I have my own goats, I'll try again...for now, we go with what mother likes because as we all know " if Mother ain't happy, ain't nobody happy " . Guest guest
Tina, Some day you may be a mother, and then everyone in the house has to keep you happy. and Katrina Bird's Incredibly Lucky Daddy From: Frecs@... Guest guest
As of three months ago, I'm as much of a mother as I'll ever be able to be. At 47years of age I became the " mother " of a 19yo boy coming out of a very bad home situation. So, it is Mother, myself, and the boy -- and as her mother before her, my mother is the matriarch.
