Choose from the options above the period of time which should elapse before the

next radiographic review in the scenarios below. Each option may be used once,

more than once, or not at all.

1. A 13-year-old patient designated as having a high caries risk.

2. A 15-year-old patient considered to be at moderate risk of future

caries.

3. A 32-year-old patient still considered as at high risk of future caries.

4. A 9-year-old patient at low caries risk.

5. A 25-year-old patient at moderate risk of future caries.

6. A 38-year-old patient who has had a full coverage crown placed.

7. A 27-year-old patient who has had orthograde endodontic treatment to

UL6.

8. A 7-year-old who has had a vital pulpotomy following trauma to UL1.

CAN SOME ONE TELLME WHERE U CAN GET THE EXACT GUIDELINES FOR PRESCRIBING

RADIOGRAPHS?????????

Hi i need help in this question please:

A Absolute risk reduction

B Bias

C Confounding factors

D double blind

e single blind

f number needed to treat

g open label

h real end point

i relative risk reduction

j statistical power

k subgroup analysis

l surrogate end point

1.Re-analysis of trial to determine if treatment affects males more than females

2.A clinical trial in which neither investigator nor patient is aware of the

treatment allocation

3.Stroke- in a trial investigating the effect of antihypertensive drug on the

cerebrovascular system

4. Supressesion of ventricular atopic beats in a trial to evaluate the function

of anti-arrythmic drugs after Myocardial Infarction

5. In a clinical trial investigating a treatment for MI, the percentage of

patients with infarcts in the placebo group minus the percentage of patients

with infarcts in the treatment group

Thanks for the reply but i'm not sure i agree that 4 is J because statistical power is said to be the probability that the test will reject the null hypothesis when it is false. So what is the relevance with number 4. Also what is the difference between relative risk reduction and absolute? Do you have a good place i can study statistics from? Even i am not sure abt answers but based on definitions i have these seems the correct answerStatistical power also known as power is defined as a study needs to have specific level of power in order to be able to reliably detect a difference that a treatment might cause. The study needs to have enough participants, who experience enough of the outcomes in question, to be able to come up with statistically significant results.Relative Risk is more useful than absolute risk reduction in determining an appropriate treatment plan because it accounts not only for the effectiveness of a proposed treatment, but also for the relative likelihood of an incident (positive or negative) occurring in the absence of treatment.I have a document i downloaded from somewhere probably from file section in the group, i study from there and also wikipedia is a good source.AqsaFrom: Aisha Awadalla <aishaawadalla@...> Sent: Fri, April 1, 2011 1:28:29 PMSubject: Re: Re: EMQ
