Removing labels

Hi. I am new to this group and I think that it is wonderful. I have

been making soap and bath products for about 3 years now. Two years

ago a friend and I went into business, needless to say it did not

work out. I am going to continue with the business but have changed

the name and I would like to remove the labels from the containers

does any one have any ideas on how to remove them and not be left

with a sticky mess on the container?

Hi,

I don't know if this will work or not, but soak the bottles in dish soap for

about 30 minutes. Then put some " GOOF OFF " on it. You can buy this product

at Home Depo etc. It works at taking off stickers, so it should work. Let me

know how it goes. Mecham

Heat up the label with your blow dryer and began peeling at one corner,

continue to use heat as needed. Any residue can be removed with a cotton ball

that has a few drops of baby oil on it. Sue

I've found 2 products that removes labels. I buy them at a hardware

store. One is called Oops. The other is called Goof-off. From the smell,

I believe that both contain orange oil.

If your labels have a shiny top, pull off the label then apply vegetable oil

to the remainder and let sit. It will be easier to remove if it sits a

while. There is also a product called Un-Do that removes labels real

fast. Cant remember who carries it.

Hi :0)

D'limonene is a natural product and is excellent for removing labels and a

great degreaser - it has a fresh citrus scent. I was doing this yesterday

and found the best way was to put some on a cloth, wet the label before you

try to peel it off and it should peel right off. (I realized this on the

last label of course, before that I was peeling what I could off first, but

it seemed to work better if I wet it first then peeled - fo figure :0))

Have a Great Day!

i like to leave the labels on too. but i figure when they get old

looking i will remove them. but i think you can try rubbing butter

or peanut butter on the glue and it should soften it. then rub off

with a clean paper towel. Arielle
