Guest guest Posted September 22, 1998 Report Share Posted September 22, 1998 6 drops oil of rose 8 TB bicarbonate of soda 2 TB orris-root powder 1 1/2 Ts tartaric acid 1 St lemon juice surgical spirits Mix together the bicarbonate of soda and the tartaric acid. Add the lemon juice and the oil of rose to the Orrin-root powder and stir in well. Add the mixed soda and acid to the orris-root powder and mix to a stiff paste with a little surgical spirits. Divide into squares about an inch thick and place on a baking ray to dry. Store in a glass jar. Two tablets will soften and scent the bath water.
