This was the Vibrant Health tip of the day....

Healthy Lunch suggestion

Looking for a quick healthy lunch? Try this dip with raw vegetables. It's low

fat, no sodium.

Put into the blender:

1 cup of low fat cottage

1/4 cup of low fat sour cream

1 1/2 tablespoons of minced onion

2 teaspoons of dried thyme

2 tablespoons of parsley

4-10 drops of Tabasco sauce( some like it hot!)

1/4 teaspoon of oregano

Pepper to taste

Whirl in the blender and serve with raw vegetables or serve with a big baked

potato.

Salmon Ceasar Salad...hmmm.....

A little high in fat, but I only had 900 calories yesterday, so it

will all even out in the end...right?

Actaully I tend to have one of these salads most Fridays and it's not

hurt my progress yet.

I went out for lunch with my husband today (this is the first time

since before Christmas on a workday), which is unusual. Of course,

it is harder to control things at a restaurant, but I did my best.

We went for Japanese:

- green tea & water

- soup/broth with green onions and mushrooms

- chicken breast

- veggies - zuchini, bean sprouts, onions

- plain steam rice (white, so I limited to a few mouthfuls)

They cook it in front of you, so definitely more oil than I'd like

to eat, but all in all pretty healthy I think.

My lunch today was a chick fil a side salad with lite italian dressing and

sunflowers and a 6 pack of chicken nuggets. Their nuggets have 25g protein, 6

carbs and 20 calories!

I love those japanese places! My husband and I go a lot to one here in

Greenville, SC on my free days, yum!

Is it 25 g. of protein for all 6 and 20 calories each? I didn't know that! I

love their chicken nuggets, but I figured they were really bad
