Guest guest
Hi All, i've got a recipe here for a body wash: Ingredients: 1/2 cup fine sea salt 1/4 cup Jojoba Oil 1/4 cup liquid soap 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon essential or Fragrance Oil My problem is that jojoba oil is *really* expensive. One of the reasons i want to make my own body wash is because the stuff in the stores is crap & is expensive. Is there anything that i can use in place of the jojoba oil or can i omit it all together? any info is appreciated! thank you :-) sabrina
Guest guest
> Where are you buying your jojoba oil? > At a store in Toronto, Ontario called Down Under Health Foods. This store is popular for it's low prices, but a smallish size bottle of jojoba oil was $17! Is there anyone out there from Toronto that can tell me of a cheaper place to get it? or a substitute??? thanks! sabrina
Guest guest
Not that my knowledge is really up to snuff...but what about safflower oil? I've read it is supposed to be very light. One of my favorite suppliers has this to say about it: " Safflower oil has a very high percentage of linoleic acid and therefore helps to moisturize, nourish and restructure the skin. It is a nice oil for use in balms, creams and lip balm. " Maybe someone out there with more experience could give it the thumbs up or down?
