Bath and Body 2001 Soap Swap

Hello, everyone! I thought it would be better to write everyone at once

instead of emailing people seperately. So far, seven people including myself

have signed up for the swap. That's pretty good! I am setting the deadline

at Wednesday (Jan. 3rd) as the latest date you can sign up. So everyone who

hasn't yet, please do!

Here is a basic list of items you can enter in the swap: soap (CP, HP, M & P,

any other process soap is fine as long as it is completely cured), lotion,

lip balm, cremes, balms, room scenters, bath salts, fizzy bath salts and

rocks, homemade bath scrubbies, loofah sponges, etc. Use your imagination

creatively, and you'll come up with endless results!!! You can only have two

of the same item (i.e. two lavender bath salts, two cranberry lip balm, two

chocolate soap bars, etc.) at the most. You can make every item you send

different if you want, but it's all right to send in doubles. With every

item, give your name, email address, and web site (if you have one) so if

the person who gets it really, really likes it, they can buy it from you!

Also include a list of ingredients, so a person who is allergic to anyone

will know what they're putting on their skin.

Please make sure that everything is packed tightly so that it won't break on

the way to my house. Wrap anything that's glass or breakable very snugly in

your box. You'll need to send the box to me, as well as $5.15 shipping. If

you don't send the shipping money, you won't get anything back. So please

make sure to send the shipping. Cash, money order, or check is all right.

Just make sure the cash isn't rolling around in the box.

Now, for those of you who have never done this before, I'll try to enlighten

you:

You send me however many items there are people involved in the swap. If

there are 8 people, you send me 8 items. The shipping money is for your box

of goodies to be sent back to you. When I receive all the boxes (I'll give a

deadline for the boxes to be sent to me), I will line them up. I'll take one

box's contents and put one item in each of the other boxes. I'll do the same

with all the other boxes. If everyone follows the rules *smile* you will end

up with the same amount of items as you sent in. After I finish all the

boxes, I'll take them down to the post office and send them off, using the

money that you send me. As I have said before, if you don't send me money

for shipping, I can't send you back your stuff. And then we'll be done!

Right now, I need a commitment that you'll be doing these, as well as your

mailing address. The deadline for this is Wednesday, the 3rd, and after that

I'll email you all and let you know the deadline for getting your packages

out.

high, but the postal rates were just upped, so there's not a whole lot I can

do about it. I'll talk to y'all later!!!

By the way, I don't know if we have any Canadian eGroupers, but if there
