Guest guest
Hi everyone! We're already hard at work planning our next shindig.... We don't have a lot of details yet, but we wanted to post so you all can save the dates on your calendar! <g> Everyone is welcome, no matter where you're from (hey, I have someone from CALIFORNIA interested in coming! LOL), or what your " addiction " is -- soap, toiletries, and/or candles. Full details, as they become available, will be available at www.angelfire.com/il/soapgathering - you'll want to bookmark the site and keep checking back! And feel free to tell any non-internet folks you might know - we had around 40 there last year, and the room holds 130+, so the sky's the limit! Here's what we know so far -- DATE: Saturday, May 6th (we've also rented the room for the 7th, so anyone who wants to just " hang out " - no formal activities and no catering! - can do so) PLACE: Minooka United Methodist Church Annex, Minooka, IL (just west of Joliet on Interstate 80) TIME and COSTS: TBA PLANNED ACTIVITIES: Still working on these, but we've had an offer to do a perfuming/blending mini-workshop. If you know anyone who'd like to do a demo/workshop, please have them e-mail me at HandcraftedSoap@... or Tammy at murph@.... We'll definitely have a " sniffy table " , door prizes, goodie bags, white elephant table, swap, and possibly a " packaging ideas " table (we'd ask you each to bring a sample of your regular packaging so we can all see it!). We also have a possibility of an insurance rep coming to talk about business liability coverage (for soaps, toiletries, AND candles!). BULK BUYS: LOTS of bulk buys planned - but NO pails of base oils this time due to space limitations and the size of the chiropractors' bills last year....LOL If you have any suggestions, requests or vendor recommendations, we'd love to hear 'em! ONE BIG CHANGE from last year -- we're having the food catered in so Tammy and I can socialize, too!! Light breakfast food will be available, as well as lunch, and beverages and munchies throughout the day. VOLUNTEERS are gladly being recruited - another change from last year!! <g> If you're interested, and live close enough to help out, please e-mail one of us. We'll post more details (and a sign-up form) shortly ...... If anyone has questions, suggestions, comments, etc., please e-mail one of us. Looking forward to seeing lots of you there!!
