Guest guest
Hi Pam, I posted a while back that the Bach Flower Remedies product called " Rescue Remedy " should help that. Just put a few drops on the top of the babies head and it should quiet them right down. I do sell it on my site for 25% off and you can get it at most health food stores. The suggested retail price for it depending on the product is: BC390 RESCUE REMEDY 10 ML 10.49 BC392 RESCUE REMEDY 20 ML 15.95 BC59 RESCUE REMEDY CREAM 27 GM 10.95 I would have posted this information to the cleansing list for you too, but people on that list get so uptight when I tell them I sell things from my store, it just isn't worth it. ~Karma Promote your site at my Professional FFA Page for FREE: http://pages.ffanet.com/links/loavesnfishes.htm __________________________________________________________________ Make A Buck Or Two @ TheMail.com - Free Internet Email Sign-up today at http://www.themail.com/ref.htm?ref=1227417
Guest guest
Hi Pam, I also posted a remedy taught to me by a chiropractor friend of mind. On the babies abdomen, right side,(his right side), find the right pelvic bone and the navel. Draw an imaginary line between these. Apply pressure to the spot that would be in the middle of this line. It is the ileocecal valve. In babies this is usually immature, and gets stuck open or shut and causes great distress. I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome and mine sticks quite frequently, I can relate!!! I hope this helps, I learned it on my 4th child and wish I had known it earlier. When the ICV gets stuck open it releases toxic gas that should be passed through, but it backs up. If it is stuck shut, nothing can pass through and gas build up can cause more of the same distress. Have a better dAy!!! W from Oz
Guest guest
Karma, Rescue Remedy worked for you with colic? This is great, because i have some! I used it myself this summer while overcome with grief over my sister's murder. I will certainly buy from you though, when i do need anything! Thanks so much for the info. Yes, i understand about the other list, the info there is incredible, but am so glad to have the open mindedness here! Do you remember anyone mentioning some sort of massage technique for colic here? I must have seen it elsewhere.... Guest guest
Yes, Rescue Remedy worked for the colic. Just put a drop right on their little head. Right in the soft spot. Quieted mine right down almost instantly. I carry my bottle right in my purse with me all the time. As for massages, my ex-brother in-law used a back rubbing technique on my oldest when she was a baby. He put her on his belly. Then he took his right hand and walked down her spine from the neck toward the bottom end. He then pressed between the fourth and fifth rib down I believe it was. (That was 9 years ago) and she stopped crying almost immediately. He also used this when she had hiccups. He was in chiropractic college at the time and was trying out some of what he was learning on her. He is now in practice, but, he is an ex-brother in-law. So, can't really contact him about it. ~Karma Karma, Rescue Remedy worked for you with colic? This is great, because i have some! Guest guest
I wish I had remembered the Rescue Remedy when my brother died this summer. Would have really helped. Anyway, I just posted a technique for massaging a point on the ileocecal valve that gives great relief for colic. Find the top of the pelvice bone on the right side. Find the navel, now draw an imaginary line between the two. Press on this point, massaging a little. This should help release this. Karma, the point on the back your ex b-i-l was working could have been on the ICV, it is near the bottom of the ribs, right side. If you put your hands around your ribs your thumb should come around to that point. Works on adults too, especially if you have bowel troubles. IBS, etc... Gotta run, Later, W from Oz. Guest guest
Pam, if she is brave enough and you can find some, try fresh goats milk. It is what I supplemented with, with my youngest two kids. Works good, less reaction than with formula. Has more acidolphilus than regular milk and formulas. w from Oz
Guest guest
, Thanks again for that massage technique, I am very anxious to try this, and will be able to pass the info on later today! So sorry about your brother, i do understand what you have had to deal with, as the situation with my sister is similar in some ways. I can say that the Rescue Remedy definitely helped, and i still use it at times. Thanks for all your input always, I have appreciated your presence here. Guest guest
, I used goats milk myself when 8 yod was baby, probably daughter in law will not be open minded, so we'll do what we can! It would be wonderful if she would try it, i know baby would have less difficulty with it! Thanks so much, Pam On Wed, 6 Sep 2000 15:58:21 -0500 " DMWEN " <wen88@...> writes: > Pam, if she is brave enough and you can find some, try fresh goats > milk.
