Guest guest
Hi Everybody! Well, I am finally out and about! After going through hell and back, I finally have a clean bill of health from my surgeon! My lapband was on the 6th (Tuesday), got out on the 11th (Monday), went back in on the 15th (Friday), got out on the 23rd (Saturday), and then wound up in the ER for morphine withdrawl on the 26th (Monday/Memorial Day)!!! Dr. Ikramuddin says that my surgery was the easiest one he has performed, but man was I not prepared for the PAIN!!!!! I told him a few days later that if I had known how painful it was, I might not have had it done. He just laughed and told me that he knew that and that is why he did not tell me! My first night there, not only did I have a SEVERE allergic reaction to Dilaudid, I stoppped breathing! They let me take of my oxygen mask because it was giving me a headache, and my leval went down to the 20's (Should be in the 90's)! Thank God my mom was there and was able to put the oxygen back on me and find a nurse to give me the proper medications. Please, feel free to call me at home, espeically if you have tips for me, because I am having a very rough time with this. My home number is 763-786-8375. In about 3-4 weeks we are going to put fluid in my band, and he said that he is going to ALMOST fill me up, so I am very excited and VERY scared. I told him that I want him to at least do my first one. I adore Dr. Ikramuddin and I know he will be able to keep me calm through the procedure. Wish Me Luck!
