Is CP a form of osteoarthritis?<br>2. Guest guest Posted December 1, 2000 Report Share Posted December 1, 2000 hi julia!<br>cp is the softened cartilage under the kneecap-patella, it can cause from 2 reseon :<br>1. patella tracking problem if your patella doesnt track properly<br>2. intensive sport or age<br>injections like steroid or hyalgan cant help chondromalacia patella ,the only thing u can do is to realize with your doctor or with other one specialict one<br>if u have patella tracking problem, and then if u have it u can make surgery like ttt surgery <br>tibial tubercule transfer or others surgeries<br>to realign your patella properly and then there<br>may not be excessive pressure on the softenen side<br>of the patella and therby the pain may be relieved<br>if u dont have any of patella tracking problem u can just make pt to help your case.<br>read patella femoral syndrom<br>good luck sigal Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
