Guest guest
Do you have to use raw milk for the rejuvenation? If there is a risk of ruining the milk - why not just buy the best quality you can from your local market? The kefir will put some " life " back into pasteurized milk - so maybe it won't be a total loss. Guest guest
Why didn't you just put them in a smoothie and eat them?  d'Entremont  " Dreams are illustrations from the book your soul is writing about you. Guest guest
So I could eat more kefir when I was ready to make it I guess. > > > > Marilyn ... Guest guest
No, one does not need to use the raw milk ... it is just so much healthier that it is the better choice IF available. My " rejuvenation " of my giant kefir grain parts was not with raw milk as I no longer have access to it. Just pasteurized whole milk from the local grocery. I am not sure if it was this forum, but I think so, that about a week or so ago a fellow posted about his successful " rejuvenation " of stored grains from 2007 ... Yes, I'm sure it must have been this one, because I believe it was Marilyn remarking that was a record so far as she knew. Blessings to all ... Guest guest
... I didn't just eat them as blender smoothies due to wanting to be able to take up culturing them from the Giant heart after I was again able to be mobile from my surgeries. I wasn't sure if you were asking me or Patty as these get rather involved trying to figure out the respondees, etc. at least for me! Anyway, that was my reason. Have a beautiful day ... it certainly is here. Joyce Simmerman
Guest guest
It wasn't you, Joyce! I ate mine if there are no takers! I have Marilyn as backer!  d'Entremont  " Dreams are illustrations from the book your soul is writing about you. Guest guest
I just wanted to report that I've rejuvenated my frozen kefir grains this week with whole milk from the grocery store. I thought I would have to throw away a bunch of milk while trying to wake up my grains, so I didn't want to waste my precious raw milk, but so far, they have woken up just fine and seem to be doing great. I have not had any " off " kefir. I have given some of it to my kittiekat and she likes it just fine, and what I tasted was fine for me as well. So, here is another testimony of having rejuvenated frozen kefir grains, that were stored in a small glass container, covered and frozen in milk (yes, the glass container did not break) since 2007. I got my original grains from Marilyn. They are incredibly healthy grains! Guest guest
I'm glad to hear that another 2007 " rejuvenation " has happened and that you are so blessed! Gives one a boost to faith that the great " life force " prevails! Congrats Patty & thanks for sharing, Joyce Simmerman
