Hi ,

FWIW, I too top post now, but I may go back to bottom posting.

I run a BBS, and users always bottom post, but these are more

dedicated individuals that use an OLR, and compose their replies as if

it was a REAL letter with precise formatting, not just quick of the

cuff comments.

Bottom posting requires care and review of the answer(s) or comment(s)

being addressed.

So this has been my practice: -

Top post for one or two line comments

Bottom post for insightful detailed post - with spell checking!

Thanks, for your thoughtful reply. I'm sad that we've lost members

over the problem, but they wrote me privately that since they get the

digest (or pay for downloading, and found the large # of unedited posts

with one-line replies overwhelming), the threads were so hard to follow,

they decided to split.

I particularly like the html-faq page you cite -- it gives the

anti-topposting details beautifully.

To get off this thread, however, we could talk about topnotes :-) What is

your favorite sharp, zingy, yet elegant topnote you like to introduce your

blends? Pink grapefruit always works for me :-)

I'll try to remember to remind you all here every 10th post or so that isn't
