At first it had such a yeast smell I just used it in my baking and couldn't drink it. Now it is less yeasty tasting but still unpleasant. How long will this yeasty flavor continue? amy m. You can rinse your kefir grains before every batch until you have rinsed all the excess yeast away. It won't take that long. You will know when to stop rinsing.
