Guest guest
A customer asks a couple of good questions so I am posting to the group also. Read from the bottom up. Marilyn Hi Tom, Milk and kefir made from milk can both be constipating because of the 7:1 wrong ratio of calcium to magnesium in milk. That is the answer. Supplement with a little magnesium and your constipation woes will be over. I can send you dried water kefir grains but before you order make sure you are going to enjoy a soda pop like drink every day. It is all about what you enjoy for a beverage. Some of the probiotic microorganisms overlap between water kefir and milk kefir but I think all in all milk kefir is superior. Water kefir is lots of fun because of the variety of flavors you get to make but the best part is how fast they grow. They double every 48 hours with certain recipes. Here lies another consideration. You can eat your extra water grains for more probiotic benefits. They have a very pleasant " chew " about them unlike milk kefir grains which are like gristle. So you decide if you want some water kefir grains and let me know.
