Guest guest Posted May 23, 2009 Report Share Posted May 23, 2009 I'm totally new, just got my grains. I put them in milk and they thickened the milk in 24 hours. I strained and put the kefir in the frig to cool before drinking. 2 more cups of milk over the grains for another 24 hours. But I did not rinse since I read on Dom's not to rinse the milk grain. What is the rule, or best way? Do I rinse the grains after I remove them from the kefir? Is it okay to drink the first kefir from the first day? Fran We don't rinse unless there are off flavors.
