Guest guest
I have a batch of Kombucha brewing in a back corner of my kitchen. That's also the general area where I stick my Kefir milk too. The Kefir is in a mason jar covered with a paper towel and just the ring to hold it on. The Kombucha is covered with a flour sack towel snug with a rubber band. It's rather warm in the house - so my Kefir is only taking 12 hours. The question I have is about the fruit flies - is it normal to see a few trying to " get in " to the mixtures. I know they can't get in - but it's still kind of gross. How to you keep them away?
