Guest guest
Hi, I'm 53 (almost), married with four children and two grandchildren. I live near Atlanta, GA and have worked with various living microbes in the past, from yogurt to home-brewed beer. I starting getting interested in kefir because of my daughter, who gets frequent UTI's (bladder/kidney infections) and started using store-bought kefir recently. I recently ordered some starter culture, but after perusing some of the websites, I realized that these were not the real thing! Just what is it I ordered? If it's not real kefir, is it close? I would like to get started making the real stuff as my schedule permits. My husband likes the store-bought stuff, so I don't think that the real thing would be much of a stretch for him. He eats everything I make! BTW, thanks for letting me join up. I've enjoyed what I've read. Deb Brons
