Guest guest
Hi, just wondered what you expert type folks think about drinking kefir during pregnancy. I can't imagine cutting it out of my diet, if I skip my morning kefir I get all bloated and crampy. I would appreciate your ideas on this. Thanks Darla
Guest guest
Hi Darla, First, Congratulations! Kefir is food. Predigested milk if you will. Go with your gut feeling. I bet your gut says it is just fine to continue drinking kefir. Another consideration is if you would give it to a baby, it is certainly okay to take while pregnant. Guest guest
Thanks Marilyn! I will think on it some more, I guess the thing I am mostly concerned about is the small amount of alcohol. I will talk with my OB. Thanks again Darla
Guest guest
I usually just leave the lid off altogether but I do sometimes notice a hint of alcohol (I think...). Is there some way to check the alcohol content? I do like it fizzy, someone recommended adding fruit and then putting it in the fridge, YUM, but not something I'll be drinking for the next several months. Thanks again for your thoughts.
