Guest guest Posted October 6, 2008 Report Share Posted October 6, 2008 Ok i got my first batch of water grains off of ebay a few weeks ago..turned out i killed them (well most of them..some are bobbing up and down now as i have been desperately attempting to revive them eith much nutrition) by mixing sulfured fruit in with the grains which produced great taste but in turn caused them to stop propogating..the ebay seller kindly send me a new batch and i have been solely just trying to reproduce with them (brown sugar, spring water, baking soda, egg shell, half lemon and a few slices of ginger) and just dumping what i made because it is usually really nasty..soo im going to dive back into flavoring but im trying to be on the safe side..what is your guys' prefferred method..fruit with the grains as it ferments ordropping fruit in after its bottled? and what are some fruity recipes you guys have..my fav in anything seems to be dragonfruit but its getting old..
