Guest guest Posted June 29, 2007 Report Share Posted June 29, 2007 Hi Lana, The slimier the better. Kefir grains don't just " go bad " . You have to abuse them. If it tastes good, they are good. Sometimes a rogue bacteria gets in the jar from carelessness. Even that corrects itself most of the time with better hygiene and timely milk changes.
