Help ... New to this nightmare

Hi All.

I am just now realizing that I probably have bird mites. I do not have a wife or

gf, or family close by. I noticed that many people posting do and it make a

world of difference. I am desperate and moving towards full blown depression,

and thought I would join this group for help. I guess I have basic questions

which seem so obvious, and I hope not ridiculous.

1. I can not get them out of my hair? I have tried vinegar, tar shampoo, Rid,

listerine, tee tree oil? Does any one have a proven way to get these out?

2. I can't get my clothes clean? I am currently washing with ammonia, and

borax, and hot dryer for 90 minutes?

3. Does anyone ever get rid of these things? I noticed some success stories,

but it seems hit or miss? I recently renewed my lease, of course, and now I am

stuck here until late 2012. I can not wait that long with this nightmare? I am

thinking of moving temporarily.

4. Does any exterminator treatment work? I thought i had samples of red mites,

but the exterminator said it was nothing. They are not experienced with mites,

so i think they were wrong - seriously.
