Guest guest
i think one natural way to deal with the infection is by rinsing with sea salt, i use the Si brand, if that is not enough in the past i have used collodial silver, u can rinse with it, and also swallow it, it is what people used to use before all the antibiotics came out. It actually is silver suspended in water, silver is a natural antibiotic, and you won't build up a tolerance, try to buy a brand that comes in a glass bottle, not plastic. From: BillZ <billz@...>Subject: teeth"MacroLife-Israelgroups (DOT) com" <MacroLife-Israel >, Date: Sunday, October 26, 2008, 5:43 AM Dear Forum, How are you? Teeth. I have been thinking about teeth for a while. Not pressingly so, but what is the natural way to deal with teeth? This particularly crosses my mind when I visit the dentist and am attacked by drills and techno-gadgets – xrays; all in the name of good health. What did they used to do? Even floss? What did they used to do for flossing? I put pen to paper (well fingers to keyboard really) after a visit last week. I found a hole and went to see what he said. He took an x-ray, and showed me infection near the tooth – I think I had already had a root canal there. Inside the gums he showed me black and the roots of the teeth!! He offered me antibiotics – I refused, and told me to wait until it became so bad he would remove it. I started my diet a year ago, and one of the effects of the diet has been an improvement in my gums. Previously there had often been swelling but on diet that stopped. The dentist said there was no hole in my tooth just that the gum had receded, I suspect a consistency there. But the infection was already inside, and is still there. What are our best ways of dealing with teeth naturally? Specifically is there anything I could take to help with the infection? I did some reading. I was able to find Pitchford’s book here, and gleaned that sodium bicarbonate because of its high alkaline content is good for gum infection. I am trying a mouthwash of sodium bicarbonate, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice and water. I also note that he suggests ingesting lavender oil, not tried that yet. Any views? Hope you are keeping well, All the Best Bill Z

Guest guest
Dear Reggie, and Klara, Thanks for your replies. Being in Thailand I have to examine replies in terms of what I can do rather than the best solutions. Therefore Reggie I zap your contribution – sorry, as I won’t be able to get hold of Ora MD or the Japanese dentie powder. It was however interesting for me to read about the Japanese thing as they mentioned Taro. This would appear to be a healthy addition to my diet if I can find it. I wiki-ed it, and found reference to the leaves and corms. I suspect there is a Thai version as, according to wiki, taro originated in Malaysia (neighbour) and have regular uses in Vietnam and Philippines (neighbours). As usual here the problem is not what there is but actually finding out where and how they use it. , I had heard of sea salt mouthwash before now you mention it –thanks, can try that. Am not sure I am up to burning eggplants with sea salt but would like to see what is done. Thanks again for all your help. Guest guest
how wonderful googling can be - found Ilanit's recipe (#6) and a whole lot more http://mizar5.com/homemade.html of all the recipes, dentie is the only one I know of that's particularly mb - was recommended by a teacher of mine - tho many comment it shouldn't be overused as it's quite yang Bill, are you also on modernday? lots of teachers there, may have more recommendations seems to be for regular infections, umeboshi plums are the mb marvel - have no idea if perhaps sucking on a ume pit might have some effect - just a thought Klara From: BillZ <billz@...>Subject: RE: Re: teeth Date: Monday, October 27, 2008, 7:45 AM Dear Reggie, and Klara, Thanks for your replies. Guest guest
Same as - he has lost 6 teeth now, 4 in 2 weeks of each other. 1 is loose now. The dentist has as is all is ok so far- just have to keep an eye on missing adult teeth. Natasha has lost 2 in 1 moth- we had to get one pulled out as it was loose for 1 month and just would not come out-it was hurting her when she ate,so we got it pulled. Tooth ended up being $42.............but was like a mastercard ad- $40 for getting the tooth pulled out, $2 for the tooth fairy - the look on your child's face when they see the tooth fairy has been - priceless. is our eldest- so he is normal for me Aussie Leis- mum to , Natasha, and Liliana I am extraordinarily patient, provided I get my own way in the end. Does anybody have any input on when children with ds typical get their first set of teeth? Guest guest
My daughter got her first teeth when she was 15 mo and my son got his first ones when he was 18 mo's, both DS. I think this is around the typical age. And by the way, when they did....O my Gosh!!!!!! They both got several of their first teeth at one time and they weren't the typical front ones, they were molars. Talk about misery! Seems like your little one is right on cue!! Guest guest
Any acidic drink will have an effect on teeth. Acid is the main thing that can dissolve minerals, calcium, enamel. So...rinse your mouth with milk or water after drinking acidic drinks such as kefir, kombucha, lemonaide. Guest guest
If the kefir is made from raw milk it will be beneficial to your teeth, and aid in remineralizing them. Please see both Weston Price " Nutrition and Physical Degeneration " and Ramiel Nagel " Cure Tooth Decay " for in depth info. Minor (natural from food etc) exposure to alkaline/acid foods will not affect well mineralized teeth. Hunter gatherers had impeccable teeth, and did not brush/rinse/floss etc. This reminds me of a visit to my dentist many years ago. The hygienist apologized for keeping me waiting a few minutes, explaining that someone had brought chocolate chip cookies into the office, and she had to go brush her teeth right away after eating them. I didn't want to get into it, so I didn't bring up my opinion that if the cookies are that bad for the " rocks " in your mouth, what do you think they are doing to the rest of your body? :-) Best to everyone.
