Guest guest
Exactly what Elissa says, some of the symptoms are due to infections. Healthy people do not have these problems. I denied it for many months until I saw a Lyme doctor and everything started to make sense. For a long time I thought it was just my environment.AaOn Dec 3, 2011, at 7:32 AM, Elissa wrote: I'm in U.S.We moved but still have small infestation. Guest guest
Hello ,If you have a nice GP, who is sympathetic, there is a good chance they probably won't really know how to tackle the problem. My mother was prescribed a permethrin cream & lotion (Lyclear I think it was), which she found helped & seemed to kill the mites for a day or two, but it did not stop the mites coming back; another cream was crotamiton cream (Eurax) which helped with the itching but did not seem to kill the mites. I was going to ask her GP to give her ivermectin, which is given under some circumstances, but it seemed that, at least in my mother's case, there are coinfections & is more to it than mites, thus taking ivermectin would not stop mites from the environment being attracted to her. You may be asked to collect samples, that can be a catch 22 in itself. Unless you plainly know that the samples are, in fact, the bird mites, any sample submitted which is not a bird mite can look bad. Unfortunately, many people have the indignity of being told they are delusional, which, in my opinion is very cruel & makes a person, already going through hell, feel even more alone. My mother was so badly treated by her GP; I am still going through the NHS complaints procedure 8 months later. As you have had problems with fungal infections, you may be able to persuade your GP to give you internal anti fungal tablets, such as Itraconazole especially if you have had fungal infections over a period of time. Good luck & warm wishes,KrysOn 5 December 2011 05:01, christine french <karmakatmeow@...> wrote: Thanks aggi Going to use disinfectant vinegar n epsom salts in wash N some disinfectant cleaning Sulphur internally? Guest guest
You are welcome , Yes, sulphur capsules 1000 mg internally (pure sulphur with no additives, 2 caps in the morning and 2 caps on the night) to make yourself untasty for the mites. Mites do not like sulfur! Got it online. Find the link if you are interested. Company called Kaja Health. I did not move and kept all my belongings because I realised that I was the source of the problems and must treat myself first and foremost as noone else around got the mites of me. Wasted 1 1/2 years trying to clean my environment only. After having started the anti-fungus treatment, everything changed big time. Did not even know that I had a fungus. Was in perfect healthy condition when the mitemare started back in July 2009. I do not have a tumble dryer. Washed everything hot with detergent plus Dettol plus ironing as hot as possible. Dry cleaning did not kill my mites ! Kept dirty clothes in a sealed container until washing. Did not wash all my furniture, pics, decoration stuff, just did floors, walls and ceilings with a Swifter mop. Hoovered (bag-less Dyson!) couches and floors daily and sprayed the couch with isopropyl alcohol 70% daily. Sprinkled DE on the mattress everytime I changed sheets. Daily in the beginning, once a week now. Been to 4 dermatologists, they only treated the bites, stating " we are no pest controllers " . Had 4 different pest control companies working for me. They fumigated the offices where it all started with bird's nest on the roof 4 times using Permethrin. Did not do anything. Fumigated my car... no difference !! Did not waste my money on them in my home after that. Kept reading this forum and learnt everyday. These guys have saved my life !! I am not completely mite-free, but am enjoying an almost normal life again. It is possible ! Keep the faith and stay in touch with us. We're all here to help with pleasure ! > >>> > >>>>When you move, you have to prevent them from... > >>> > >> > >> > > > > > > > >------------------------------------ > > > >

The only med I am taking for 2 months now is the anti-fungal, called Itraconazole 100 mg caps. I take one cap in the morning and one on the night. The mites do get less and less interested in me since, I am making continious improvement, so for me I definitely have a fungus in my body. I will keep taking it until I feel completely mite-free. Guest guest
Aggi, I think I need to be on that one too. I've been on Candex, an over the counter fungal and I have noticed a decrease in any sensations. Itraconazole would probably do even better. However, my liver enzymes are getting higher and higher and I think my doctor wants me to go off all meds and maybe even supplemets for a while to let liver rest and recuperate. I wonder if Candex is available in GB for ? Guest guest
-Many times Lyme itself will cause those fluctuations in liver enzymes, not necessarily the meds. Guest guest
I moved out of the infested house into an apartment, due to divorce. And took all of my things. Then moved again, across the country to my home state. I hardly believe this happened to me any more. I had the kind you can't see, very microscopic. Moving does help. Get out of that environment! Even people with other infestations (bed bugs, ticks, even opossums!) leave their home if it can't be beat. No home or money is worth your health. And home values have nosedived anyway. In short: my advice is to move - soon! > > Hi > When people have moved n bugs come with them do they eventually die out as no bird host. > Im confused > Do they need birds to breed > Do they breed happily on us n animals? > Conflicting things said on the web > Need to move as cannot get to source of problem here > But so scared to bring with me > What do people sugest its safe to bring? > Going to throw out my furniture for a start:-( > Thanks > Also how to get rid of them on old cat who cant take harsh chemicals? > Thanks > C >
Guest guest
HI C! I have been in contact with a researcher on mites, who is a vet but has also studied mites and humans. He said that before it was said that mites needed birds to survive and breed. Then it went to become they need birds to breed, but not to survive, humans do fine there. He thought the next step was that you can prove that they also can breed with the help of human blood. We brought absolutely nothing and stopped being bitten, but I know many here who has gotten better without throwing their stuff away.KRCecilia From: jan.morin28 <no_reply > bird mites Sent: Thursday, February 2, 2012 8:23 AM Subject: Re: moving I moved out of the infested house into an apartment, due to divorce.
