Guest guest
MOVE IF YOU CAN - like says. although it was easy for me compared to others, still I had to throw away all my belongings, I mean ALL. Clothing, shoes, purses, tv, computer, printer, All furniture. I came into the hotel room with nothing and immediately began to sleep a whole night again. I was still weak for a long time - but my appetite eventually came back - I think with no new bites, my immune system had a chance to rebuild. I knew I wasn't going to make it at 70 years old. And the longer I stayed with new bites, albeit fewer, my body wasn't given the chance to begin to re-cuperate. Now, even the sensations have gone away (even the top-of-the-scalp ones) but this did not happen overnite!! And by the way, don't buy the crap doctors pump out to us about the sensations. They are real and related to infestations. We all know that on this forum! I am normal now, will never walk barefoot on a carpet again. The fear stays with me. And others are right about treating your own system, I used to have bites in my car, no more, and I think now it's beause I no longer am their host and they are not attracted to me. I never took medications, my treatment was to escape which offered me enough time to re-cuperate. Perhaps I escaped further co-infections. I'm just glad it's over, but every now and then I will think "Wow, what was I doing a year before on this date?" I spent sooo much money, slept in the bathtub, etc etc etc....worst nightmare of my life! It is harder when you own, especially in the economy as it is. I think it does help to move because if you do have birdmites you decrease their numbers and you are the object of their desire right now. Maybe you would take some with you and you would most likely bring the infections they brought to you internally and those would have to be dealt with (we went to a Lyme Literate MD in our area)... she knew we had birdmites and we did get infections through their bites. If your immune systems are strong enough sometimes the immune system can compensation and fight off infections. If you have any fungal issues at all, it attracts these organisms and insects as well. I know, it does get very complicated, but this website with all the good people here have been unraveling a deep mystery about birdmites... some people end up with Morgellons producing strange fibers but the key ingredient I think is that we harbor fungus and mold in our bodies pre-existing, so those things have to be treated in order to get these organisms off our exterior body and inside the body. Some here moved multiple times. Cecilia owned her home and sold it; she lives in Sweden. Marie was able to keep her house and farm. We stayed in our home and it is bug free now except spiders which we get seasonally. Bill moved many times as well as Doris who moved I think 3 times. Krys's Mum in Great Britain is trying to sell her home but thus far not able to do so because of the economy. Best of luck to you. Just keep doing as much as you can, but take breathers, enjoy your husband and children and keep smiling... we have to have good ways to cope with all this. It does produce a PTSD that most of us have had to deal with one way or another. Have faith... it helps. Do you have to go with not a thing from your infested home? Has this worked for anyone? My family is ok right now because its cold outside. The constant crawling stopped the first night we had frost. I still feel the pin pricking at times and some itching and crawling from time to time but at least I can sleep now. Although, my poor dog is still shaking his head but not as bad. I'm scared to wait until Spring and have these things attacking me or my family again. My derm. does believe that it WAS bird mites but thinks I just got a virus from the bites and that made me feel the crawling sensation. I don't believe that. I could feel them going in my nose, eyes, and ears. I put vaseline on my face when I had a burning sensation and I could feel them trying to get off my face going into my scalp and down below my face. It was so awful I had to wash the vaseline off. Again, derm thinks that was just a sensation. I think not. When the weather was warm I could not sit on anything upholstered now that it is cooler I can. The dr. says thats what hives from a virus can do and make it worse when you are warm. I have two small children whom are home with me everyday so I don't have time to do all the cleaning nor do I want to use anything toxic with them around. I'm thinking I'd gladly give up everything as long as I had my family and we didn't take these mites with us to a new place. I don't know if my children are being affected like I am. I'm guessing they'd be crying all night but they had the rashes and bites just as I did in the beginning. My husband is the only one who remained ok with just an occasional itch. No one believed me for 3 months when I said I thought it was bird mites including my husband until finally the last Dr. said it sounds like bird mites because of the dead birds but he says the mites die. He told me I just needed some good sleep and to get my immune system better from the so called virus so he gave me something to make me sleep for 4 nights and I go back tomorrow. Yes, I needed the sleep but it didn't change a thing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much. LJ
Guest guest
Thanks. If I move how do I get them off me? My scalp either was infested or maybe still is. It itches a lot. I itch a lot on my upper back and around my collar bone. If I can move, I would want to do everything right. My poor kids. My husband has a company work car so I don't know what we'd be able to do about that. Although, he is not infested I'm guessing he would of brought some in the car. He thinks this is all crazy. Guest guest
You are not crazy! The hot spots you have I did also. I believe the insect besides the bird mite I dealt with is springtails. MMS spray very weak initially, I would use 20 drops to 8 oz distilled water. Also MMS baths. If you itch use the spritzer bottle and nail it:) Also wintergreen alcohol mixed with white distilled vinegar sprayed on bedding will help. For my scalp I made liquid lye soap and left on my hair and scalp. Then shampoo and wash body with liquid lye soap. Lye soap sounds harsh, if you research it is milder and Safer than store bought. Then take a MMS soak. I will not recommend this for the children, your choice. > > Thanks. If I move how do I get them off me? My scalp either was infested or maybe still is. It itches a lot. Guest guest
Homemade soap is authentic vegetable oils, lye and water. Lye soap is true authentic soap. The soap you buy in the store is actually not soap. It is a detergent. Almost the same as what you wash your clothes with. So the question you should ask yourself is why would I need to put detergent on my skin. Detergent is surfactants and chemicals that creates suds and bubbles. The problem with this is that this is what causes skin irritation. Not so with handmade lye soap. Natural soap is so good for your skin that it even repels bugs and mosquitos. But, most importantly lye soap is the best hydrating, moisturizing and skin smoothing soap. EVER! > > > > Thanks. If I move how do I get them off me? My scalp either was infested or maybe still is. Guest guest
You have to try some peppermint, it is my favorite. I make my own and I fuse the peppermint leaves with olive oil in the crock pot, this cooks for 24 hours. This same method is used for cannabis cooking:0 > > > > > > Thanks. > > > > > > ________________________________ > > > From: Doris Kennedy <kean2465@> > > > " bird mites " <bird mites > > > > Sent: Tuesday, November 8, 2011 12:32 PM > > > Subject: Re: For Linds - move if possible > > > > > > > > >  > > > MOVE IF YOU CAN - like says. although it was easy for me compared to others, still I had to throw away all my belongings, I mean ALL. This is it for me. I know, it does get very complicated, but this website with all the good people here have been unraveling a deep mystery about birdmites... some people end up with Morgellons producing strange fibers but the > > > key ingredient I think is that we harbor fungus and mold in our bodies pre-existing, so those things have to be treated in order to get these organisms off our exterior body and inside the body. Have faith... it helps. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ________________________________ > > > From: " Linds J " <lj_mom11@> > > > bird mites > > > Sent: Tuesday, November 8, 2011 8:29:09 AM > > > Subject: Re: (unknown) > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > So far it sounds like no one is recommending leaving my home. I'm just so afraid for my children. What if they get infested like me? I don't think they are but I really can't say for sure. I was so sick when these things were crawling and eating at me all night that I could barely even stand when getting out of bed in the morning. I had lost a lot of weight and was very weak. The more I ate the more I seemed to get attacked so I didn't want to eat. I am just terrifed for Spring to come. I feel like whatever I am going to do that I need to do it now while its not so bad. Is there anyone out there that has totally beat these bird mites and is back to living their lives? Thanks > > > > > > > > > > > > ________________________________ > > > From: Linds J <lj_mom11@> > > > " bird mites " <bird mites > > > > Sent: Monday, November 7, 2011 9:22 PM > > > Subject: (unknown) > > > > > > > > >  > > > So if you leave your home, how do you get the bird mites off of you so you don't infect your new place? It was so awful I had to > > > wash the vaseline off. No one believed me for 3 months when I said I thought it was bird mites including my husband until finally the last Dr. said it sounds like bird mites because of the dead > > > birds but he says the mites die. He told me I just needed some good sleep and to get my immune system better from the so called virus so he gave me something to make me sleep for 4 nights and I go back tomorrow. Guest guest
He can spray after he gets out of the car with ammonia water. It will not damage upholstery or rugs. We used Windex for a long time and that works in my opinion. We vacuumed often too and disposed of the bag for the vacuum - kept vacuum outside the house too, not in, away from elements like rain, snow. Vacuuming up DE helped a bit although DE is hard on most vacuums except shop vacs I think. I'd wipe down all surfaces in the car with Windex. Shoes should be left outside too because they track things into the house from the car. We sprayed shoes with Windex, inside and out. > > > > LJ > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > >
Guest guest
Was or is your husband infected with lyme? For some reason it seems ones with weakened immune get the bites. > > > > > > P.S. Guest guest
if you spray lysol and/or dawn everyday in your car they will die. i bombed every 3 days for 2 weeks. i have shag carpet in my jeep, i was ruthless with spraying and vacuuming. the self car wash is the best good suction. i have a good canister vacuum, well it was good until the abuse it received these past few months. i also kept de or borax in there too. they are gone. my house is almost there. i have not had to move. every time i stayed in hotel i got bit so what's the point in moving. i refuse to leave my pets. i think they are finally mite free. it has been very hard work, but like everyone here has done it is possible. i am about 80% mite free. i was thanking God today for getting me through this nightmare. yes the weather has cooled so it has helped. i pretty much leave windows down in vehicle at night. i think if we take preventive measures before spring we can fight these a#@holes. but it is a full moon so who knows what the night may bring. i still can't hang around the computer for very long. i have been very very tired lately, i know my body is getting heathy again, the mites put a hurting on me. getting bitten excessivley for months can't be good for you. i also have been wondering, if the mites do carry lyme and other things if they continuously bite would you keep getting infected with the poison over and over? the key to success here is vigilance and not give up rise above the critters. thank you to lysol and borax and everyone here, much love, alaire > > > > He can spray after he gets out of the car with ammonia water. > > > > > > > > > > (unknown) > > > > > > > > > > > > > > So if you leave your home, how do you get the bird mites off of you so you don't infect your new place?
